Visualizing SDGs in Cities
This online event was held on Thursday, 8 July 2021, as a side-event to the 2021 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.
Organized by:
United Cities and Local Governments with UNDP, UN-Habitat, SDG Action Campaign, AICCRE and the Permanent Mission of Italy to the UN
Description:
Once a year, UCLG and its partners (UNDP, UN-Habitat and the SDG Campaign) meet in Venice to identify specific tools to advance in scaling up SDG local action. In year 2024, Venice City Solutions 2030 focused on how to better visualize SDG action in cities, and how many local governments are using Agenda 2030 as a long-term planning mechanism, to bring along partners and to better communicate and involve citizens.
Each year, the discussions and recommendations from Venice come to HLPF to share new ideas and experience on how cities and local governments are advancing in SDG implementation.
